Devoted supporters of the actress are demanding that a person who jumped a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A widely shared clip shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade surrounded by supporters.
Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by guards.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.
"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.
Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring many.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another message on Instagram.
Some attendees also questioned security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others demanded online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.
In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.
Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.
Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it began.
The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two distinct characters.
The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.
They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of last year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, earning a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
