Performer Refutes Anti-Vax Views After Lending His Voice To Controversial Coronavirus Documentary

The "Taken" star has provided his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccinations and lauds ex- health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Disputed Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a popular book written by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the health crisis for assertions that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her co-author, a producer, has also written books with controversial radio host the Infowars host. He took to social media praising Neeson's participation in the film.

An Unequivocal Denial

The team of Neeson have provided a response firmly refuting suggestions that he subscribes to anti-immunization beliefs.

"Everyone can recognize that unethical practices might be present within the medical sector, but that must not be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the comment explains. "Neeson is not, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with Unicef underscores his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."

It continued that the actor had no hand in the film's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Major Assertions Featured in the Documentary

As presented, the script read by Neeson includes several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "medical science has become deeply politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The narration takes aim at pandemic restrictions, saying they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of Covid vaccines, it references a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Controversy and Current Issues

The documentary further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a BBC apology by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

Last month, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the documentary, despite a new report from the World Health Organisation stating no such link has been found.

A Past Record of Support

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has previously voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.

Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The film concludes with Neeson's narration saying, "This is not the conclusion of our story. Rather, it is the start of a different phase."
